1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use PlayJigsaw, we may collect:
- account details, such as display name, email address, authentication provider, and user ID;
- puzzle progress, selected difficulty, elapsed time, completion state, and saved board data;
- uploaded images and related metadata when you create your own puzzle;
- device, browser, app, log, crash, and performance information;
- messages you send to support or privacy contact addresses;
- advertising or analytics identifiers if ads or measurement tools are enabled.
2. Local play and signed-in play
Guest play may store progress in your browser or device storage. This lets you resume puzzles locally, but it can be erased if you clear site data, use private browsing, change devices, or uninstall the app.
If you sign in, some progress and account data may be stored with Firebase or similar backend services so your account can work across sessions or devices.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide puzzle play, daily puzzle, upload, account, and progress features;
- remember saved boards and completion history;
- protect the service from abuse, fraud, spam, and technical failures;
- respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests;
- measure performance and understand which features need improvement;
- show, limit, measure, or personalize ads if advertising is enabled and allowed by consent settings.
4. Ads, analytics, and app platforms
PlayJigsaw may use services such as Google AdSense, Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Authentication, Firebase/Firestore, Cloudflare, and app store platform tools. These providers may process device identifiers, IP address, app activity, crash data, approximate location inferred from IP, ad interactions, or other technical information according to their own policies.
If required by law or platform policy, we will request consent before using personal data for personalized advertising or certain analytics. You may be able to reset advertising identifiers, limit ad tracking, or manage consent through your device, browser, or in-app controls where available.
5. User uploads
When you upload an image, we process it so it can be displayed as a puzzle. Uploaded files may be stored on cloud infrastructure if the feature requires syncing, sharing, or persistent access. Do not upload images that include private information, personal data about another person, or content you do not have permission to use.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when needed to run the service, comply with law, protect rights and safety, process ads or analytics, provide hosting and storage, or respond to your requests. Service providers are expected to process information only for the services they provide to us.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, backup, or fraud-prevention reasons. Guest data stored locally can usually be deleted by clearing browser or app storage.
To request account deletion or deletion of backend data linked to your account, contact contact@playjigsaw.net. We may need to verify that you control the account before completing the request.
8. Children
PlayJigsaw is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will review the request.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent for certain processing. Send requests to contact@playjigsaw.net.
10. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee perfect security. Because our providers may operate in multiple countries, information may be processed outside your state, province, or country.
11. External links
PlayJigsaw may link to external websites, image sources, app stores, or third-party services. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own policies, not this one.
